Though diet and exercise are certainly important factors in any weight loss plan, a positive attitude is what makes such lifestyle changes possible. As evidence that one’s mental state is just as important as physical activity when trying to lose weight, many people have already found that it is much harder to make the lifestyle changes required for weight loss if you don’t believe those changes can happen. 1. Set realistic goals for yourself

When you start trying to lose weight, try to remember that you are making a lifelong change. You wouldn’t buy a new car without taking it for a test drive. Then why commit to a diet plan without testing it first?


Think about it.


You test-drive a car to make sure you’ll enjoy a smooth, comfortable ride. And most importantly, you want to know the car will take you to your destination.
